A Highly Profitable Home Business

Let’s face it. America’s health consciousness has catapulted during the last five years. Foods low in fat, sugar, and carbohydrates, have topped the must-buy charts. Gyms and fitness clubs have sprung up. More and more Americans at the rate of 10% per year are booking spas and massage parlors. With such a growth, offering a massage “delivered to your door” is not such a bad idea. In fact, it can be a very profitable idea.

For starters, you need not spend on expensive “spa” set-up and equipment because the massage will be done at your client’s home. Most of your staff will be direct labor; meaning most of them will be a massage therapist. You will need only one overhead staff, a telephone operator that can double as a therapist scheduler. You may also choose to do this yourself, to ensure proper handling of customer calls.

Spend a little on fluffy towel, good and fragrant oils and training for your therapists and you’re on your way to start the business.

You may charge an average of $30- $40 per hour. Out of that, $3 will go to supplies, while $10 will go to the therapist. The rest is profit for your home business. Here are two types of massages that you can offer that your clients should love.

Acupressure

A massage based on a traditional Chinese method of cure, acupressure is the massage version of acupuncture. Acupressure massages the body in a way to redirect the flow of energies, releasing blocked energy centers or “chi,” and thereby achieving balance between yin and yang.

To perform acupressure, finger pressure is used on points on the body to stimulate them. This type of massage is ideal for tension and stress pain, constipation, menstrual cramps, bloating and any need for stimulation and rejuvenation. Charge $30 - $35 per hour.

Reflexology

When you see a massage parlor that has a map of the feet displayed outside, chances are, their specialty is reflexology. This type of massage is administered on the feet as it is based on the different reflex points on the feet, which affect major organs of the body. Light to medium pressure is used in reflexology and that in it relaxes the subject.

This is ideal for tension pain and tiredness and helps your clients’ over-all well being, when done regularly. Before starting the reflexology, throw in a shoulder or head massage while soaking the feet in warm water for more relaxing session. Without the soak, charge $40/hour and throw in another $5 for the foot soak.

With minimal set-up and profits as high as 50% shouldn’t you be opening up your dial-a-spa soon?

How to Work at Home and Earn Money

Many people try to work at home and fail. This is because they do not know what it takes to working at home and running a business. Yes working at home is a business. First off it is not easy to work at home. It is a lot more then sitting in front of the computer for a few hours and earning money. You must first find something that is going to make you money, and you can easily do it from home or anywhere there is a computer. Second you must have goals set for each month with your new work at home business. If you make goals each month working at home and be very affective. When I first started working at home my first goal was to get a good website up and running. My next goal I set was to make 3 sales my first month. Nothing huge but it was a good way to test my working at home skills. Then I started setting goals to get so many people to visit my site a day.

I find the hardest thing people have is finding that one thing that will bring in the money. I use a few programs that make me a nice amount of money each month. Now I’m not rich from them but it helps me out very much. I mean wouldn’t you like and extra $1,000 a month? Well that’s around what I make only working with my at home business a few hours each night.

Second thing people fail on is getting people to buy there product. Must people that work at home think ok ill make a site or place and link and ill be rich in a month. That is 100% wrong. If you do that you will just be more poor then you started cause you will be wasting time and a lot of money. Building traffic to your site takes time. It took me almost a full month before I got a good number of people to visit my site each day. I would write articles, post on forums, and use word of month. These are things you MUST do if you want to work at home and make some money.

If you follow the above tips you should have no problem making some easy money form working at home. Just always remember it’s a business. Its going to be slow at times, and other times will be great. Just do not give up and keep working at it. If you do that you will make money online work at home.

Tips for Success when Working at Home

By: Robert Thatcher

There are many people who have tried to work at home and have not done a good job. At the same time there are many more people who have been successful at working at home. The trick is the successful people know some of the tips to making working at home work out.

The following list explains four things that are very important to success when working at home. Each of these things should be done by every person who wants to work at home.

1. Maintain focus. Maintaining focus means that a person treats the work at home job as they would any job outside the home. The same attention needs to be paid to details and deadlines as would be paid with a boss standing there watching.

2. Minimize distractions. The balance between work life and home life can often be toppled when working at home. It is important for the person to set strict rules about interruptions and let everyone know when they are working. Also things like televisions and personal phone calls can also be distracting and should be avoiding when working at home.

3. Set goals. Setting goals allows the person to stay on task and get work done in a timely manner. In a work at home position late work is often rejected and that means no money is made. Keeping a good schedule and sticking to it ensures work gets done and money is earned.

4. Have a good office set up. The home office should contain everything the work at home employee needs. There should be no need to run to other areas of the house to get tools or handle business tasks. A phone, computer and supplies are essential to a good home office.

These four tips are a good base for work at home success. A person that follows these tips will find working at home is organized and easier. There will be less confusion and a more scheduled and structured working environment.

After that, then search through the eBay listings for similar items. Again, 95% of the time, items on your list are already being sold. Don’t worry about that. No matter how good and detailed your listings are, it is still best to have a picture of the item, which will say everything, nothing more, nothing less. Try to research also on the highest hitting listings and see why their visual representation is very appealing to many surfers.

Price it Right

The power of the dollar is always at work in eBay. Because you allow interested parties to bid on your product, every dollar counts. Some recommend starting your price at $1, which if you were in the shoes of the buyer, sounds very appealing. Just make sure that you are selling an item that will eventually be bidded to the price that you like, say $500, even if it start from a dollar.
